• Overnight stay in Leh

Embark on a relaxing sightseeing tour around Leh town in your comfortable SUV. Visit the iconic white-domed Shanti Stupa for panoramic views of the Leh valley, tour the nine-storey Leh Palace, and pay tribute to military valor at the Hall of Fame. Conclude the day with a visit to the serene Spituk Monastery overlooking the airstrip.

Drive up the winding mountain roads ascending to the famous Khardung La Pass (17,582 ft), taking in dramatic views of the Karakoram range. Descend into the picturesque Nubra Valley and drive to Hunder, famous for its high-altitude cold-desert sand dunes, where you can watch the sunset and ride the unique double-humped Bactrian Camels.

Travel through the dramatic gorges along the Shyok River route, passing through remote Himalayan villages like Diskit and Agham. Arrive at the breathtaking Pangong Tso, where the high-altitude salt lake changes shades from deep azure to turquoise. Check into your lakeside camp or hotel and enjoy a tranquil evening by the water.

• Overnight stay in Pangong

Journey deeper into the wild Changthang plateau toward Umling La Pass (19,024 ft), official holder of the world record for the highest motorable pass. After capturing memories at the summit, descend to the quiet village of Hanle, home to the historic Hanle Monastery and the Indian Astronomical Observatory under one of the world's clearer dark-sky sanctuaries.

Enjoy a scenic overland drive across the rolling high-altitude plains and wetlands of Changthang. Pass the smaller salt lake Kyagar Tso before reaching the pristine, high-altitude sanctuary of Tso Moriri.
