Day 1 Arrival and Acclimatization at Leh

Upon arrival at Leh Airport, our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, take time to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude of approximately 11,500 feet. Avoid any physical exertion and spend the day relaxing or taking short walks around the nearby market. In the evening, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

Day 2 Leh to Wakha (180 km)

After an early breakfast, start your ride towards Wakha. En route, visit the Hall of Fame, Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and witness the spectacular confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. The route passes through the picturesque villages of Basgo, Saspol, Khaltse, and Lamayuru. Enjoy the surreal Moonland landscapes at Lamayuru and cross the scenic passes of Fotu La (13,479 ft) and Namika La (12,198 ft). The ride offers smooth roads with occasional wind gusts and stunning mountain views. Dinner and overnight stay at Wakha near Kargil.

Day 3 Wakha (Kargil) to Padum (260 km)

After breakfast, ride towards Padum, the main town of the Zanskar Valley. Stop at Mulbekh to see the ancient Maitreya Buddha statue carved into a rock face. Continue the journey through Kargil, Sankoo, and Parkachik, enjoying breathtaking views of the towering Nun–Kun peaks. Visit the hilltop Rangdum Monastery and ride over Penzi La Pass, offering panoramic views and access to the magnificent Drang Drung Glacier. The route through Suru Valley, famously featured by National Geographic as one of the most beautiful valleys in the world, will leave you spellbound. Arrive at Padum by evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 Padum to Gonbo Rangjon via Purney (90 km)

Today’s ride takes you deeper into the raw beauty of Zanskar. After exploring Padum Town, visit Stongde Monastery, one of the region’s most scenic monasteries offering stunning valley views. Continue towards Purney, the base point for the Phugtal Monastery trek. Visit Phugtal Monastery, a unique marvel built inside a natural cave on a cliff. On your way, admire the turquoise waters of the Zanskar River and the surrounding gorges. Also, stop by Sheela Waterfall near Padum before reaching the sacred site of Gonbo Rangjon. Dinner and overnight stay at the Gonbo Rangjon campsite.

Day 5 Gonbo Rangjon to Sarchu via Shinku La Pass (180 km)

Begin your scenic ride along the Kargyak River, surrounded by majestic mountains and rock formations. Cross the challenging Shinku La Pass, a high-altitude route with steep climbs and loose gravel. Descend towards Darcha, where you’ll reconnect with the Leh–Manali highway (NH3), and continue to Sarchu, located at the border of Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. Enjoy a hot meal and an overnight stay at Sarchu under a sky full of stars.

Day 6 Sarchu to Leh (250 km)

After breakfast, ride back to Leh, crossing several high mountain passes such as Nakee La, Lachung La, and Tanglang La, which ranks among the highest motorable passes in the world. Traverse the iconic Gata Loops and the 40 km stretch of Morey Plains, a vast high-altitude desert with surreal views of the Himalayas. Continue through Pang, Upshi, and Karu before reaching Leh by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Leh.

Day 7 Departure from Leh
