Your trip starts in Leh, the main town of Ladakh. You’ll get used to the high altitude and visit cool places like Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Then, you’ll drive through the famous Khardung La Pass—one of the highest roads in the world! You’ll explore Nubra Valley, ride camels on sand dunes in Hunder, and enjoy the beautiful Pangong Lake. At night, you can even look at the stars! This road trip is comfortable and fun. You’ll stay in nice hotels or camps and travel in clean, strong SUVs. Local guides will be with you to explain everything and make sure you have the best experience.

Tour Plan

Day 1 Arriving in Leh | Getting Used to the Altitude

When you land at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh (3,500m), take it easy and rest so your body can adjust to the high altitude. In the afternoon, go for a short sightseeing trip. Visit Shanti Stupa for amazing views of Leh, and take a walk through Leh Bazaar and the Tibetan Market. In the evening, relax at your hotel and get a good night’s sleep. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 02 Exploring Leh and Sham Valley

Start your day with a drive to Sham Valley, covering about 70 km round trip. Along the way, visit some famous spots:

  • Leh Palace – A historic home of Ladakh’s royal family.
  • Hall of Fame Museum – A tribute to Ladakh’s history and army heroes.
  • Gurudwara Pathar Sahib – A peaceful Sikh temple.
  • Magnetic Hill – Experience the strange effect of a road where cars seem to roll uphill on their own.
  • Sangam Point – Where the Indus and Zanskar Rivers meet. After a day of exploring, head back to Leh for the night.
Day 03 Leh to Nubra Valley

Take an exciting drive to Nubra Valley, which is 120 km away and takes about 5-6 hours. You’ll cross Khardung La Pass (5,359m), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Stop here for breathtaking views and some photos. Once you reach Nubra, visit Diskit Monastery, home to a giant 32m Maitreya Buddha statue. Later, experience the Hunder Sand Dunes and go for a ride on a double-humped Bactrian camel. Spend the night in Hunder.

Day 4 Hunder Turtuk Hunder

Begin your day drive towards Turtuk Village, one of India's northernmost villages, known for its unique Balti culture and stunning landscapes. Explore the village, interact with locals, and taste traditional Balti food. Visit the apricot orchards and enjoy panoramic views of the Shyok River. After a day of exploration, return to Hunder for the night, reflecting on the beauty and charm of Turtuk.

Day 5 Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via the Shayok Route

Today, you’ll travel 160 km (about 5-6 hours) to reach Pangong Lake using the Shayok Route, which was once part of the ancient Silk Route. Stop for lunch at Durbuk along the way. In the afternoon, arrive at Pangong Lake, famous for its stunning turquoise-blue waters and for being featured in the movie 3 Idiots. Spend the evening enjoying a beautiful sunset and stargazing. Stay the night at a lakeside camp near Pangong.

Day 6 Pangong to Leh via Chang La Pass

Wake up early to see the sunrise at Pangong, where the lake changes colors from gold to deep blue. Then, start your journey back to Leh, passing through Chang La Pass (5,360m), another high mountain road. On the way, visit:

  • Thiksey Monastery – A beautiful Buddhist monastery with stunning architecture.
  • Druk Padma Karpo School – Also called Rancho’s School from the movie 3 Idiots. In the evening, explore Leh Market, hop between cozy cafés, and buy souvenirs for your loved ones. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 7 Saying Goodbye to Leh

On your last day, our representative will take you to the airport based on your flight schedule. Leave Leh with unforgettable memories of your Ladakh adventure!
